How do we pray when we don't know what to pray? We show up before God, and we believe that God will show up in and before us. Speak to God, and when words fail, let God speak to you, through you, and for you. God is faithful. He hears the cries of the heart. When we pray to God, we pray to Our Heavenly Father, in the name of our Lord and Savior, His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and through the power & presence of His indwelling Holy Spirit. Praying in the Spirit also means letting the Spirit pray in and for us.
As you go through your week, talk to God even when you don't know what to ask for or what to say; especially then. You may just find that in the moments you fall silent, you can hear God louder than ever before. Just remember these words from Moses, "The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father. When I am at a lost for words, You know what is on my heart and have the words I need, even when I don't fully know what I need. No one knows me like You know me and for that I am grateful and give thanks to You, Lord. Thank you for loving me. I pray and give thanks in Your Son's Mighty Name. AMEN.
